Metro DX Club Officers

The  2009 Metro DX club picnic was once again held at the home of Jess ( AI9L ) and Patti ( AF9H ) Colvin on August 15, 2009. Jess and Patti, thank you again for your hospitality and opening up your home for our club picnic. Jess also likes  antennas and towers.... a lot of them.  Check out the pictures. Very nice. 

A good time was had by all! We had a very good turnout (25) of members and guests. Thank you all for making it possible with all of the great food and drink . This sure makes for a very tasteful picnic. The bean bag games went very well. I saw many members getting into the games. A new addition to the picnic was a 50/50 drawing. The winner was Patti, AF9H. Congratulations! Another new addition to our picnic was a Grand Door Prize. The door prize was a wireless weather station that was won by Mark May, K9TP. Congratulations, Mark . We also had some Yaesu freebee hats and other freebees from Dayton. They went well.

In closing I would like to thank all of you for your help in once again making this a great Metro DX Club picnic. I  want to pass on a special thank you to Jess and Patti. You guys are great. I also want to thank my wife Trudie for all of her help with this picnic. She also took a lot of great pictures.

Prizes were won by Paul K9NU, Bob W9LNQ, Brenda (XYL of K9PY), Delores (XYL of K9BWQ) and the grand prize, a weather station, by Mark May, K9TP. Patti, AF9H, won the 50/50 drawing. Congratulations, all!
